Published in Today's News Herald on Feb. 21, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Victor Lenart, 87, died peacefully on Jan. 15, 2021, in Lake Havasu City. Born in Coalwood, West Virginia to Jim and Mary Lenart, he joined the navy immediately after high school and then settled in California, with a three-year stint on the East Coast before retiring in Arizona. Vic was a melt shop superintendent in steel mills across the country for over 35 years. Heat was a kind, gentle soul with a good sense of humor who always rooted for the underdog. He taught his family to always find the good in others and to never try to get ahead at someone else's expense. Vic is survived by sons Paul Lenart, Tucson, and Dennis Lenart (Kateryna), Corte Madera, California, as well as his brother, Joe Lenart of West Virginia, several grandchildren and a great grandchild. He was predeceased by sons Matthew, Tim and Mark, a grandson and 2 sisters and brothers. At his request, no services will be held.
