Mary Jo (Helm) Hobby Born in Phoenix, Arizona on July 4, 1927. Departed on April 17, 2006 and resided in Flagstaff, Arizona. Mary Jo Hobby, 78, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006 at The Peaks in Flagstaff, Arizona. She was born on July 4, 1927 in Phoenix, Arizona to Henry and Lena Helm. Mary was a member of the Church of the Resurrection. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and travel. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, William Harrison Hobby; her sister, Sallie Ann Brach; and her mother, Lena Ardrey. She is survived by her sons; William Howard Hobby, wife Carol, Flagstaff, Ariz., and Patrick Wesley Cravey, Phoenix, Ariz.; daughters, Mary Alice Hobby, Flagstaff, Ariz.; brother, Dale Helm, Tonopah, Ariz.; sister, Maxine Ricke, husband, John, Chandler, Ariz.; and her brother-in-law, Tony Brach, Loma, Colo. She also leaves behind three grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., in Cottonwood, Arizona. In her memory, contributions can be made to either the American Cancer Society, 2724 East Lakin, Suite 9, Flagstaff, Ariz., 86001 or to the Alzheimers Association, 225 Grove Ave., Suite B, Prescott, Ariz., 86301.
