Published in Today's News Herald on Apr. 4, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Gary Dean West, 65, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, March 28, 2021. He leaves behind loving wife, Song, and son, Evan. Gary was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 3, 1956 to Lloyd and Sally (Katherman) West. He worked for 30 years at Big 5 Sporting Goods and also served as a Sgt. In the U. S. Air Force. Gary was an intelligent, hardworking, and loving man. He loved to watch the morning sunrise with a cup of coffee, and be back on the porch to watch the sunset in beautiful Havasu. Gary loved to spend time with his two dogs, Brown Man and Adrian. He spoiled them both. Gary was an avid bbq'r and meat smoker. He loved to cook and was adamant about it until his passing. "My dad was a man of integrity, respect, and love. I will miss him dearly. Thank you for all you have done for mom and I, and for making me the man I have become. I Love You Very Much, Dad!!!" -Evan West.
