Born in Blackrock, New Mexico on Aug. 7, 1956.
Departed on June 19, 2007 and resided in Phoenix, Arizona.

Marlinda Rose Lonasee, 50, resident of Phoenix, passed away on June 19, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. She was born August 7, 1956 in Blackrock, New Mexico to Bob Lonasee and Eathel (Lewis). She attended High School at Mingus Union High School and graduated in 1974.

Marlinda was a competitive individual by nature; which brings no question as to why she excelled in the sport of softball. She was at her happiest while playing sports, and for the majority of her adult life she participated in an adult softball league. It was here that she made many new friends and enjoyed the friendly competition.

She is preceded in death by her father, Bob Lonasee; two younger sisters, Jacqueline “Jackie” Lonasee, and Brenda Prebble; her maternal grandparents, Max and Hannah Telese; and her paternal grandparents, Grover and Vera Bellson.

Marlinda leaves behind two children, her son, Reginald White, Ariz., and her daughter, DeAnn White of S.D.; her mother, Eathel Lewis; her step-father, E. Lyman Lewis; three brothers, Ruben Lonasee, Michael Paulsell, and Michael Lewis all of Ariz.; five sisters, Ardith Earnhardt, husband, Butch, Ariz., Maxine Rennie, husband, Maurice, Ill., Liberty Crawford, Ariz.; Deatrice Lewis-Beauty, husband Elliott, Ariz., and Tanya Moore, husband Trapper, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Service honoring her life will be held at Westcott Funeral Home on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 9:00am. All are invited to attend the Memorial Service; the inurnment will be private with immediate family only.
