Born in Los Angeles, California on Nov. 29, 1923.
Departed on May 6, 2006 and resided in Clarkdale, Arizona. Harvey Mayo Follett, 82, of Clarkdale died May 6.

Known as Mayo to friends and family, he was born in Los Angeles, California to Harvey Haws Follett and Mae Cluff Follett. The family moved to Pima, Arizona when he was 3 years old. He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served during World War II for 4 years in the Pacific Theater out of Saipan. On return from the War he became a Chevron Dealer and owned his own business for 40 years. He was a member of the Chalcedony Lodge #6 of the Masonic Order.

Mayo is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marye; their four children, Kristine, husband Dennis Tomko, Clarkdale, Donald Mayo and Barbara, Potomac, Md., Susan and John Donahoe, Perry, Ga. and Winifrid and Connie Brown, Cottonwood; two sisters, Sally Kight, Farmington, N.M. and Jean Lofgreen, Helper, Ut. Mayo and Marye have six grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Harvetta McBride.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 27 in St. Thomas Episcopal Church at 11 a.m.
