| Published in Mohave Daily News Online on May 12, 2021 - Bullhead city, Arizona - Denise Kolm, age 66, went home to her heavenly father on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Denise was born on August 28, 1954 in Van Nuys, California to Henry and Violet Kolm. Denise graduated from Monroe High School in June of 1972. Denise had a love of traveling from early in her life, and began many visits to National Parks at an early age. Her family visited Bullhead City, Arizona often as well, while she was growing up, and eventually moved there permanently. Denise worked in the pressroom for the Los Angeles Times before retiring in 2009. Her love of travel lasted throughout her lifetime as she traveled to National Parks often always loving their beauty. She also traveled extensively going to China, South America and the U.K. just to name a few. Denise made many friends on her journeys, and loved meeting people. She was a member of City Bible Church in Bullhead City. She loved seeing the children each week as she checked them into their Awana classes. Denise was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and enjoyed her time with her sisters there and the opportunity to donate back to her community. She was a member of Senior Circle at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. She loved being involved in many of their events, and will be remembered as "The Friday Girl". She always participated with her whole heart in all that she was involved in, and everyone around her felt her kind heart. She is survived by her brother, Glenn (Marlene) Kolm of Bullhead City; cousins, Charles Jurcak, Robert Jackson, Craig Jurcak, Kathy Kolm and Candy Roddy. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Sierra. Denise will be greatly missed by her family and many, many friends. No services are planned at this time. |
