Published in Parker Pioneer from May 5 to May 12, 2021 - Parker, Arizona - Doris Didway Woodley died peacefully on September 28, 2020 in Parker, AZ. She was 84 years of age. Doris was born in Porum, Oklahoma on January 18, 1936 to Jerry and Pearl Didway. She had three brothers: J.D., Gail and Jerry Ray. The Didway family moved to California in the early 40's. In 1952 Doris married Lloyd Woodley and together they had three children: Christine, Richard and Jeri. She was a full time Mom who was active in the PTA. As the children got older, she started driving a school bus and then working in the restaurant business. Doris and Lloyd moved to Parker, Arizona in 1980 and separated a few years later. Doris worked in the restaurant business for many years until she retired. Doris met Joe Anderson in the late 80's and considered him the love of her life. He preceded her to heaven in 2018. Joe had two children: Jennifer and Joseph Jr. Between the two of them Joe and Doris had 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Doris loved spending time with family and enjoying the Parker area with Joe. They had a dune buggy and went on many an excursion with their group of friends. In her later years, Doris enjoyed watching television, especially her soap operas and old western series and movies. A Celebration of Life will be held in Doris' honor on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at La Paz County Park in the Don Tonkovich Pavilion. |
