Published in Parker Pioneer from Apr. 22 to Apr. 23, 2021 - Parker, Arizona - Robert George Miller, 41, of Downey, Calif. passed away Feb. 21. 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif. He was born Oct. 2, 1979 in Colorado Springs, Colo., Robert was the son of Robert George Miller Sr. and Frances Riggio. Robert was affectionately known by many names, Bobby or "Boogs" being the most common. He was a man of few words, but what he lacked in words, he made up in heart. Bobby was a military brat growing up, and he lived in Colorado, Maryland and Germany. Parker became Bobby's home when he was around nine years old. In Parker, Bobby was raised with his many cousins in the family church, Lily of the Valley Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of his late grandpa, Elder Willis Miller, and later the leadership of Pastor Darrell Grissum. Bobby attended and graduated from Parker High School. Upon graduation from high school, Bobby started his journey into adulthood by joining the Army with his cousins, Cooby (Earl) Carter and Joey (Joseph) Salcido III. This dynamic team was tight, and you would rarely see them apart. While in the military, Bobby worked on phone lines. So, it was natural he would continue this career path in the civilian world as a store manager for Sprint. Bobby eventually moved on from Sprint, but he maintained management and leadership roles throughout his career. If Bobby wasn't working, he was cooking. Bobby loved cooking. He was a Master Chef and a self-proclaimed Grill Master, although that topic is constantly up for debate amongst his uncles and cousins. Bobby is survived by his parents, Robert George Miller Sr., Frances Riggio and Cecilia Miller; his sisters, Desiree Miller, Odessa Miller, Angela Miller and Roberta Miller; his grandmothers, Ava Miller and Denise Riggio; his aunts and uncles, Jacqueline Denton, Reba and Earl Carter, Lily Miller, Wilma and Ike McGahee, Timmy and Suzette Miller, Wayne and Jeanette Miller, Steven and Kimberly Riggio Jr., Seth Riggio, Kolbe Riggio, Claire (Riggio) Coulombe, and Galilee (Riggio) Buerger. Bobby is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Georgette Miller, Alexxis Timmons, Jalayne Miller, Josyas Jones, Elizabeth Jones, Aaliyah Jones, and Jezrah Pullom; great niece and nephew Javier Avina and Charlie Avina; his girlfriend, Connie Garcia and her daughter, Salina Chavez; and a great number of cousins and friends. Bobby is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Elder Willis Miller and Steven Charles Riggio Sr.; his nana, Clara Joan Austin; his uncle, Michael Miller, and his aunt, Mary Riggio. |
