Donald Eugene Morey Born in Joliet, Illinois on May 20, 1925. Departed on Jan. 14, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Donald Eugene Morey, 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and animal lover, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2003. He was born in Joliet, Illinois on May 20, 1925. Don was a World War II veteran and received a Purple Heart. He was an active member in the VFW, Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. His numerous community involvements will be appreciated and cherished by those left behind. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Bernice Morey, daughter,: Donna Morey and Darlene Zajda; sons, Jerry Morey and Donald Morey and his sister, Winifred Hendron; son in law, Thomas Zajda; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is now with his son Robert and brother Gordon Charles Morey looking down on us with love and pride. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th at VFW Post # 6739, 377 W. General Crook Trail Camp Verde at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be sent to Northern Arizona Hospice 269 S. Candy Lane Cottonwood, Arizona, 86326.
