PINETOP-LAKESIDE - Cecil Forest Dyess, 79, died Nov. 12, 2006 at RTA Hospice in Lakeside. Mr. Dyess was born Sept. 30, 1927 in Centerville, Texas, to John C. Dyess Sr. and Bessie A. Dickey. He helped rebuild Germany after World War II. He was a machinist for a well-drilling company. He was devoted to his family and served as a prison missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1999 to 2004. He is survived by two daughters, Debra P. Cupps and Renee Chapman of Eagar; two sisters, Lavada Fitch of Howe, Okla., and Lucille Lea of Glendale; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera; a son, Richard Dyess; and a brother, John Dyess. The funeral was at 10 a.m. today at the LDS Eagar Stake Center. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mountain View Cemetery near Casa Grande. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar is in charge of arrangements. ©Casa Grande Valley Newspapers Inc. 2006 |
