Published by Today's News Herald on Jul. 28, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Nicholas 'Nick" Louis DeFelice Jr, 81, passed away at home with his family by his side in Lake Havasu City. Nick was born on Jan. 28, 1940 in Wakefield, Massachusetts, to Nicholas and Louise DeFelice. Nick graduated high school and joined the Marine Corps where he met his wife Shirley. He later married his wife of 61 years Shirley Ann on Nov. 25, 1960 in Wilmington, Massachusetts. They then moved to Lake Havasu City where he was the original owner of Papa Leone's Pizza. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, coffee with his buddies at the American Legion post 81. He loved his family, being a husband, father and grandfather of seven grandchildren. He was involved in American Legion post 81, Elks, VNV/LV MC, VFW, and Eagles. Nick is survived by his wife, Shirley of Lake Havasu City; sons, Nicholas Louis III ( Monica) of Lake Havasu City; Francis Michael (Andi) of Savannah, Georgia; daughter, Lisa Maria of Lake Havasu City. grandchildren, Nicholas IV, Richie, Jacquelyn, Patricia, Emily, Madison and Carson. Nick is proceeded in death by his parents; Nicholas and Louise DeFelice; siblings, Dottie Lorenz, Tommy DeFelice, Peggy Duffy and Deborah DeFelice. A celebration of life will be held at the London Bridge Resort Convention Center Sunday Aug. 1, 2021 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Legion Post 81.
