Edward M. Dwight, 84, born April 25, 1925, in Springfield, S.D., passed away June 11, 2009, in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2009, at the Faith United Community Church, 1061 Old Chisholm Trail, Prescott Country Club in Dewey, Ariz.

Services were entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home.

Edward "Ned" Dwight, age 84, died on June 11, 2009, in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Ned grew up in Springfield, S.D., and lived there until he left for the Air Force and college.

Ned touched many young lives during his 38-year career as a high school principal, math teacher and golf coach in South Dakota and Baudette, Minn.

Ned and his wife, Lorraine, lived in Baudette for 23 years, where Ned was able to enjoy his love of hunting, fishing and golfing. In 1987, they retired to Dewey, Ariz., where Ned continued to touch lives through his friendships, volunteer work and as a member of Faith United Community Church.

Ned is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lorraine; children Bruce Dwight of Charleston, W. Va., and Kim Tyre of Excelsior, Minn.; and three grandchildren, Sarah Brown, Ashley Tyre and Alex Tyre.

A memorial service of thanksgiving for Ned's life took place Monday, June 15, 2009, in Dewey, Ariz.

The Dwight family requests that memorials be sent to Faith United Church, 1061 Old Chisholm Trail, Dewey, Ariz., 86327.
