Arthur James Horvath

Arthur James Horvath, age 72, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021. He
was born October 7, 1948 to James Horvath and Elizabeth (Koczak)
Horvath in Lynwood, California.

Art was raised in South Gate, Calif. and graduated from South Gate
High School in 1966. He was drafted into the Marine Corps while
attending college at East Los Angeles College and served in the Marine
Corps from 1968 to 1970. After returning home Art married his wife of
35 years, Cheri (Hinesh) Horvath. He was employed with Ma Bell in Los
Angeles and together he and Cheri enjoyed boating, off roading and
spending time with their friends in Willow Valley, Ariz.

In 1978, Art began working with Citizens Utilities in Bullhead City,
and relocated his family to Willow Valley to enjoy life on the river.
Art was employed with Citizens Utilities/Frontier Communications until
he retired in 2002. Through his employment with Citizens Utilities,
they had the opportunity to raise their family in Bullhead City and
Lake Havasu City. They raised their two sons enjoying the outdoors,
boating, off roading and RV-ing into Mexico. Art was active in both
communities with the Elks Lodge, Lions Club and Kiwanis Club.

In his latter retirement, he enjoyed his life to the fullest, spending
time in Bullhead, Meadview, Williams, and San Felipe with his partner,
Charlotte Thomas. Art always had a love of boats, vehicles, busses,
buggies, motorcycles and whatever else he could find for sale or at
auction. He could always be found fixing his "treasures" in the
garage.

He is survived by his former wife, Cheri Horvath of Fort Mohave; sons,
Eric (Erin) Horvath of Lake Havasu City and Brian (Kait Mc Garry)
Horvath of Fort Mohave; significant other, Charlotte Thomas of Fort
Mohave; grandsons, Tanner Horvath and Corbin Horvath of Lake Havasu
City. He also leaves behind his beloved pups, Rocket and Molly.

A Rosary Service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, October 8, 2021
followed by a funeral service at 10 am. Services will be held at St.
Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1691 N. Oatman Rd., Bullhead City, AZ.
Then at 1 pm on Saturday, October 9, 2021 there will be a celebration
of life/open house held in Art's garage in Fort Mohave. Anybody that
knew Art is welcome to attend.
