Published by Today's News Herald on Oct. 10, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Born James William Smith, his mom called him Jimmy. We all knew him as "JimBob". He loved to tell stories of his younger years of hitchhiking and biking all over the U.S. JimBob had a love for horseshoes, Harleys and camping with his family. He was a charter member of the River Riders and spent 45 years of riding, living and loving life with them. He definitely knew how to have a good time. You could find him anywhere dancing to the blues. He met his beloved wife Nancy in 1994 and they married in 1996. A week before his passing they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. He left us far too soon, but leaves behind a great legacy and many memories. It has been said many times, "everyone has a JimBob story". In addition to his beautiful bride Nancy, he leaves behind their son Zed and daughters Jessica, Shannon, Erin and Patricia. He is survived by his brothers Dennis and Clifford, sister Alanda, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents William "Amos" and Marjorie McGarvey Smith. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday October 13th, at the London Bridge Resort Convention center, at 6:30 pm. |
