Born in Chicago, Illinois on Sept. 16, 1922.
Departed on Dec. 8, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Donald R. Millman, 81, of Cottonwood died peacefully at his home on December 8th. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Ada Millman. He was a veteran of World War II fighting with the Third Marine Division on Iwo Jima, Guam, Guadelcanal, and Bouganville.

He is the husband of Esther for 53 years; father of Donna R. Cotter, Flagstaff and Dean Millman, Cornville; brother of Patricia A. Kirar, Florida; grandfather of Kimberly Ging and Katy Cotter, Flagstaff and Jameson E. Cotter of LeMoore, Calif.; great-grandfather of Heather and Christopher Ging, Jordan and Madison Cotter and Hailee Cotter, all of Flagtsaff.

Mr. Millman was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7400 and the American Legion Post #25.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 13 in the VFW Post #7400, 705 E. Aspen St., Cottonwood at 12 noon.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 203 Candy Lane, Cottonwood, Ariz., 86326.
