Virginia Garcia Vasquez, born on September 25, 1931 to Liz and Juan Garcia. Virginia was raised in East Los Angeles California and graduated from Roosevelt High School. She married Rudy Vasquez on June 5, 1954. Virginia worked hard all her life as a clerk in various banks. Virginia was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. With Rudy she raised four children and enjoyed her extended family. After over 40 years in the workforce, Virginia happily retired and enjoyed her family which now included grandchildren. She traveled to Europe and Canada several times and liked going to garage sales and casinos. She had a group of friends who she affectionately referred to as the "Ya Ya Sisterhood" who she went to plays and movies with and made tamales. But her greatest happiness was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Our beautiful mother Virginia was called to Heaven on October 26, 2021; and is now forever our beautiful "Angel". She will be forever missed by all who encountered her. Virginia is survived by her children and their families. Daughter Pauline Lentowski, granddaughter Marissa Reabe (Jonathan) great grandchildren Melanie and Wesley, Granddaughter Noreen Lentowski (Paul) & great grandson Andrew, and Grandson Erik Lentowski. Son Victor Vasquez. Daughter Roseanne Wentland (Charles) granddaughter Danielle La Spisa (Jovan), grandson Ryan Furnas (Jaime), Zachary Wentland (Jessica) great grandchildren Aubrie, Aidian, & Damien. Daughter Barbara Vasquez & grandson Anthony Airasolo. Virginia is also survived by her sister Irene Martinez and brother Roger Garcia as well as numerous beloved family and friends.

Mass and interment will be at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Saturday Oct. 30 at 11am. Immediately following will be a celebration of Virginia's life in the hall next door.
