Back to Old Mississippi

John L. Dodge, M.D., who has for some time been the Octave Gold Company's physician, has resigned to go back to his old home in Mississippi. The doctor came here originally for the health of his wife, who died soon after his arrival here, he not having been fortunate enough to get into this model climate sooner with her. The doctor was himself in rather poor health, but has gained a great deal during his stay here.

The doctor goes away with the best wishes of a large circle of Arizona friends he has made since he came here. His services at the mine have been highly satisfactory to the miners and to the company, if reports go for anything. Dr. W. A. Smith, who came down from Prescott to take the place vacated by Dr. Dodge, did not accept the situation, and Dr. Dodge will remain till some one else can be had. Perhaps he may allow himself to be persuaded to remain.
