| Published by Today's News Herald from Nov. 20 to Nov. 21, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Barbara Eleanor Sjostrom Porter of Lake Havasu City, Arizona formerly of Wilmette, Illinois and Three Lakes Wisconsin, born 4-13-34, passed peacefully on 11-06-21, surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her husband Jesse Byron Porter Jr. Survived by her children, Jesse "Chip" (Sherry) B. Porter III, Matthew R. Porter, and Pamela (Daniel) Mahachek. Proud Grandmother of Kirk (Madison) Porter, Erik (Nicolette) Porter, Tom Mahachek, Jenny Mahachek and Sean Mahachek and Great-grandmother of Campbell Porter. Barbara earned her Master's degree at Northwestern University and was the Administrator at Northwestern's Law School and was the Chief of Administration for the Corporation Council for the City of Chicago. A celebration of her life has been held in Lake Havasu City, and one will be held this summer in Three Lakes, Wisconsin. Barbara enjoyed her hobbies of knitting, needle point, bible study and book club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society in her honor. |
