Departed on Dec. 9, 2007 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Leon (Lee) Edward Niederkorn, 72, of Cottonwood, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2007. He was born March 10, 1935 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

He served his country in the Army and then married Beverly Ann Jones on September 7, 1957. Lee graduated from Northwestern University and began a long, successful career in the financial industry.

Upon retirement Lee and Bev moved to Cottonwood where he was active in community projects. Lee enjoyed life and lived with passion for his family, faith, and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly, of fifty years; five children, Peggy (Art), Terri (Scott), Jim (Dea), Cindy (Pat), and Kristi (Seth); thirteen grandchildren; and many dear friends.

A Visitation / Rosary will be held at Westcott Funeral Home on Thursday, December 13, 2007 beginning at 4:00 p.m. The Memorial Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at All Soul’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Church Building Program.
