Toshiyo May Harris

Toshiyo May Harris, age 89 a resident of Laughlin, Nevada, passed away
on Thursday, December 9, 2021 in Bullhead City, Arizona. She was born on
June 19, 1932 in Durieu, BC, Canada.

Toshiyo May came to the United States from Japan at the age of 19 as a
bride to her husband, Chester F. Harris who passed in 2006. Chester had
been stationed at Camp Wood in Kumamoto, Japan as a Sergeant in the U.S.
Army during the Korean War. They started their life together in Kentucky
and then moved to Ohio where they purchased their first home. They
decided to move to California to seek better employment. After many
years in California, they moved to Bullhead City, Arizona where much
growth was taking place. In 1993 they bought a home in Laughlin, Nevada
which became their final residence.

Known to most as May, she is survived by her daughters, Vicki Dianne
Harris Pillar and Katherine Lee Uhl; son, Jimmy Harris; sister, Makiko
Moriyama; grandsons, Craig Jeremiah Skelton, Geremy Tegan Uhl, Brennan
C. Anderson and Joshua Harris; granddaughters, Brianna Dianne Anderson,
Kara Lorelle Gil, and Sydney Rose Muehlhausen; great-grandsons, Craig
Jeremiah Skelton, Jr., Tyler Jeremiah Skelton, Archer Kenneth Anderson,
and Kaio Oliver Gil; great-granddaughters, Kylie Makayla Hill, Alaina
May Anderson, Luana Mae Gil, and Elizabeth Joy Uhl; and many cherished
relatives in Canada, Japan, as well as many loving extended family.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 22,
2022 at Laughlin Community Church, 2910 Needles Highway, Laughlin,
Nevada.
