Departed on Dec. 10, 2007 and resided in Camp Verde, Arizona.

Vera Francis, 95, resident of Camp Verde, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2007 in Peoria, Arizona. She was born December 6, 1912 in Ethel, Mississippi to Allen Brooks and Bessie (Hester) O’Briant.

Vera was the owner of the Copper Lantern Restaurant, located in Flagstaff, Arizona. She enjoyed gardening, politics, and was an animal lover.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Camp Verde, who was dedicated in her faith-living it to its fullest and exemplifying Christ every day of her life. Vera truly loved others - and gave freely of her love and services.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J. Peery Francis; and leaves behind her step-son, John P. Francis, wife, Norma, Phoenix; two brothers, D.C. O’Briant, Durant, Miss., and Laney O’Briant, wife, Kathryn, Lexington, Miss.; and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Middle Verde Cemetery in Camp Verde on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
