Published by Mohave Daily News Online from Jan. 16 to Jan. 17, 2022 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Johnny "John" LaPerre Bacot, age 88, was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 6, 2022. He was born on July 28, 1933 to Harry and Erma Bacot. John was the youngest of six children, four sisters and one brother. At the age of 17, John enlisted in the Air force. He was honorably discharged after serving four years. John's love for horses started when he was a young boy. While in Alaska, John was able to purchase his first horse. Yes Arabian, is there anything else, John would say. That one horse would be the start of his life long dream of an Arabian Horse Ranch here in the valley since 1978. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his five siblings. John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Melinda Bacot; children, Johnny Jr. (Becky), Rodney Scott (April), Michelle Renee (Ryan), Jimmy Wade (Andrea), Roger Wade; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Harvest Bible Church. A pot luck to follow. |
