Jesus Antonio Valdez passed away at YRMC in Yuma, AZ on November 10,
2021 due to complications from COVID-19.

Jesus was born in Cananea, Mexico to his parents Astolfo Valdez Meza and
Yolanda Valdez.

Jesus (Tony) was a wonderful father, grandfather (tata), brother and
friend to all who knew him.

His favorite moments were spending time with his grandchildren,
children, and long time partner. He also loved BBQing, playing softball,
making others laugh and helping his son out at his pizza restaurant.

Tony spent most of his life as a floor installer after moving to the
United States from Mexico. With his work ethic he quickly became a
prominent name in Yuma, AZ to all carpet businesses. He later became a
U.S. citizen to fulfill his journey of living a better life for he and
his family.

For Tony, his grandchildren were his purpose in life. He spent most days
creating memories with them. He made them feel special. They always
looked forward to visits or school pickups from tata. The kids could
call him at anytime of any day and he'd always answer.

At the end of the day, Tony's fulfillment came from helping others.
There were times when wed think he'd be working too hard but for him
that's all he wanted. The joy he got from helping others is something
that will stick with all of us. He will be forever remembered and
engraved in our hearts.

Tony is survived by his longtime partner Yolanda Navarro, children
