She never turned her back on anyone and was always there with a helping hand or words and comfort to help you on in your day. She may have been tiny weighing never more than 100 lbs but she was a stick of dynamite and had so much energy to give to everyone. She even had a cheery voice when she knew she was so ill. She tried not to let on that she might be having some problems. She was just that type of person always there for everyone else and her own problems came later. When she told me she was with hospice she said it is a way that you thought she was kidding. They had to send her home from hospice because she just wouldn't give in to her disease and was laughing and bubbly about it. I thought that if anyone could beat this she could even though I knew her lungs were so badly damaged. When I talked to her on the 1st of July she told me Happy Birthday and when I told her she was almost a month early she said that she had better say it now because she didn't know what tomorrow would bring. That was Ada, always on top of things. I can't tell you how many years she remembered my birthday and it always suprised me that she did but that is one of the things that made her a true friend. I am going to miss you Dear Friend but I know that you are in better hands now and there is no more oxygen and you can breathe deep and there aren't any cigarettes in Heaven so I know that the pain you suffered is now over. God speed, my friend. I love you and will remember you in my heart forever. It is a sad feeling when you know that MyLinda is gone, Christa is gone and now Ada and you can bet they are having a ball. Heaven is in a little bit of trouble with them three together.. ;- )) Gail |
