IN LOVING MEMORY OF BETTY MILLER THOMPSON
JANUARY 27, 1922-DECEMBER 10, 2000

Betty Miller Thompson loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, went "back home" on December 10, 2000. She was born on January 27, 1922 in Glendale, West Virginia.

Betty lived her early years within the view of the Ohio River in the town of McMechen, South of Wheeling, West Virginia. She attended local schools and learned to love writing poetry. She moved to Arizona in 1946 where she wrote and produced public radio for Williams Air Force Base. Her work has been published by local newspapers, National Library of Poetry, and Bible Institute News. Samples of Betty's poetry may be found on her website.

Betty was a tax accountant in the Mesa/Gilbert area for more than 50 years. She felt a tremendous commitment and love for her many clients and friends. Her warm smile and gentle heart made her a friend to all. It would be Betty's wish to thank all of you for your love and friendship over the years. We will miss you Mom. Rest easy.

Betty is survived by her husband, Tommy; daughter, JoAnne Dangel, son-in-law Jeff; granddaughters Erin and Sara Day; brother Edgar Tegarden and sister Juanita Little. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Assoc. and the American Diabetes Assoc.

Funeral service was Friday, Dec. 15, 2000 at Melcher's Chapel of Roses in Mesa. Interment at City of Mesa Cemetery.
