The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, April 20, 2007 Ayn Neilynn, also known to her friends as Edie Santa Cruz, 63, resident of Clarkdale, died Friday, April 13, in Cottonwood. She was born March 5, 1944, to Frank and Ann Murdaugh in Phoenix. Professionally, Ayn has worked as a realtor for ERA and Century 21; she was the owner of "My Buddy" Dog Groomers, and the owner of Applause Cleaning Service. But the role she filled best, and that gave her the most joy in life was that of being a mother. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Murdaugh. She leaves behind her son, Richard with his wife, Leann, of Queen Creek; her daughters, Syria, with her husband, Matt, of Chandler, and Ann Marie with her husband, Allen, of Clifton Park, N.Y.; her brother, Frank "Butch" Murdaugh of Cornville, and Denny Murdaugh of California; her sister Debbie Malone with her husband, Gary of Oregon; six grandchildren; and her mother, Ann Marcrum of Oregon. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2 p.m,, at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Clarkdale. She was born March 5, 1944 to Frank and Ann Murdaugh in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a graduate of Carl Hayden High School, following which; she attended the Mesa Community College. Professionally, Ayn has worked as a realtor for Era and Century 21; she was a dog groomer for “My Buddy” Dog Groomers, and she was owner of Applause Cleaning Service. But the role she filled best, and that gave her the most joy in life was that of being a mother. She attended all of her children’s events, and enjoyed being a mother, and grandmother. Ayn enjoyed gardening, art, caring for her dogs, reading, and attending various musical performances. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Murdaugh. She leaves behind her son, Richard, wife, Leann, Queen Creek, Ariz.; her daughters, Syria, husband, Matt, Chandler, Ariz., and Ann Marie, husband, Allen, Clifton Park, N.Y.; her brother, Frank Murdaugh, Cornville, Ariz. and Denny Murdaugh, Calif.; her sister, Debbie Malone, husband, Gary of Or.; six grandchildren; and her mother, Ann Marcrum of Oregon. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m., at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Clarkdale, where Ayn was proud to be a member.
