Born in Lansing, Michigan on Jan. 18, 1921.
Departed on April 16, 2007 and resided in Clarkdale, Arizona.

Bernardine I. Haddock, 86, resident of Clarkdale, passed away at home on Monday, April 16, 2007. She was born January 18, 1921 in Lansing, Michigan to Avery and Beatrice Phillips.

Bernardine was not only a housewife, but also was the owner and manager of Laundry in Manistique, Michigan; and past manager of the Maurice’s woman’s apparel department in Escanna, Michigan.

She was also very active within the communities in which she resided. She was the former Ladies Elk’s President, and the past Woman’s Ministry Leader of the First Presbyterian Church in Manistique, Michigan.

She was a person-oriented individual. She was dedicated to her family and her friends. She was a good, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend.

She is preceded in death by her son, Richard Bedford.

She leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Robert W. Haddock of Clarkdale; son James (Oakey) Mitchell, Australia; daughters, Sandra (Leonard) Beckman, Tucson and Nancy Splaine, Mesa, Ariz. seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A Funeral Service will be held at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 11:00am.
