| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, May 25, 2022, p. A-5 Katherine (Kathi) Denise Ray, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2022. She was a peacock amongst penguins--colorful, beautiful and full of life. To say she lived, loved and laughed is an understatement. If you were lucky enough to know her, you couldn't help but love her. Kathi never met a stranger and helped anyone she could. A natural caretaker, Kathi touched many lives with her generosity. Kathi was born on Dec. 1, 1958 in Glendale, Arizona. She is the second of three children, whose parents were James and Patricia Moren. She was a butterfly that flew around and touched lives wherever she landed, including Flagstaff, Arizona, Indiana, and Southern California. She finally settled and made her home in Grand Canyon City, Arizona. She is survived by her daughter Kristi Jones, mother Patricia Moren, sister Teresa (Terri) Bennett, brother James (Jimmy) Moren and her partner and the love of her life Troy Gribler and their canine companion Zia. She was preceded in passing by her father, James Moren.
