Chris Jacobsen, one of the south side's most prosperous farmers passed away Thursday night about 10 o'clock at the country home two miles and a half south-west of Tempe. Mr. Jacobsen was born in Denmark the thirteenth of November 1874. He came to Arizona nineteen years ago and has since resided in the vicinity of Tempe, owning a ranch for the past number of years two miles south-west of town. He was married to Miss Alberta Painter June 26th, 1910, at that time constructing a handsome residence on his property. He is survived by his wife and one son, and six brothers, four in San Francisco, one in Denmark, and one that arrived in Tempe Thursday night from Los Angeles.

Funeral services will be held this morning at 10 o'clock from the Methodist Episcopal church south, Rev. F. W. Gorman officiating. The Odd Fellows will assist.
