| Published by Today's News Herald on Jun. 19, 2022 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Clyde Eugene Thomas, a fun, compassionate and caring man, passed peacefully on March 6, 2022 surrounded by his family. Clyde was 88 years old. Clyde was born on May 13, 1934 in Grand Chain, Illinois and grew up in Dixon, Illinois. He was the oldest of three, followed by his sister Helen Hufford and brother Glen Thomas (who now live in Florida). He attended Northern Illinois University where he graduated as a research chemist. He met the love of his life, Valerie, during his service in the Army in England and they just celebrated their 66th year anniversary. He loved traveling and golf. Valerie's favorite thing about him is "everything." They had two precious children, Michael and Laurie Thomas and two grandchildren, Samantha and Jeremy. He was preceded in death by his mother: Faye Thomas, and father: Clyde Thomas. He is survived by sister: Helen Hufford, brother: Glen Thomas, wife: Valerie Thomas, sister-in-law: Diane Thomas, son: Michael Thomas who is with Jean, daughter: Laurie Thomas, granddaughter: Samantha married to Dustin Hughe, grandson: Jeremy Thomas. |
