Di-Maio-Short (nee Swick), age 82, passed away in a Las Vegas hospital on Friday, April 29, 2022. Formerly of Lansing, Michigan for 66 years, Patricia made her home for the last sixteen years at 2441 East Saguaro Dr., Mohave Valley, Arizona. Patricia was predeceased by three husbands. She was married to Kenneth Van Damme for 24 years; John R. DiMaio for 12 years; and lastly to James L. Short for 11 years, who passed away in October 2021. Native to Lansing, Michigan, Patricia was the daughter of Andrew "Denny" and Pearl Swick. She is survived by four loving sons from her first marriage, Roger Van Damme of Indianapolis, Ind., Mark Van Damme of Cheboygan, Mich., Todd Van Damme of Lansing, Mich., and Kenneth Van Damme II of San Diego, Calif. Patricia also leaves behind twelve grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; along with her step-children and step-grandchildren from her last two marriages. There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, July 3, 2022 in Houghton Lake, MI. Patricia's remains will be laid to rest in Lansing, MI among two of her former husbands. |
