Published by Today's News Herald on Jul. 31, 2022 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Richard Joseph Bodinet - born Sept. 25, 1952 in Chicago; passed away June 30, 2022 in Phoenix. Richard was an early resident of Lake Havasu City moving there in 1966 with his parents and 4 siblings. He graduated Lake Havasu City HS in 1971 and joined the Navy as a submariner. He was a sonar technician on the USS Patrick Henry and the USS John Adams, both stationed out of Hawaii. From there he began his career with Xerox and Sony as a copy repair technician which carried him through most of his adult life. Unfortunately, Richard battled a variety of late in life illnesses and spent the last few years at the VA Hospital in Phoenix where he was treated well by all. He finally succumbed to liver carcinoma. When death came, he was comforted by his family and is at peace and with Our Good Lord. Richard is survived by his sister Michele and brothers Michael, John, and Andy. His celebration of life will be held at the Hanson Desert Hills Memorial Park Chapel (6500 E. Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254) on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. followed by his internment at the VA National Memorial Cemetery (23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024) at 12:30 p.m. See Also: Find A Grave |
