Published by Today's News Herald from Aug. 2 to Aug. 3, 2022 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Sandra "Sandy" Lou Wagner (nee Pittenger) passed away on July 6, 2022 in her home in Lake Havasu City with her daughter by her side. Sandy was born on Sept. 25, 1940 in Galesville, Wisconsin to Lillian Mae Skalman (Bleken) and James C. Pittenger. Sandy was proud of her Norwegian heritage. She loved camping and the outdoors. Sandy really enjoyed the desert and her beautiful view of Lake Havasu from her back porch. When she was not spending time outdoors, you could find Sandy snuggled up with a good book or volunteering in her community. Even when life got busy, she always made time to help others. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Debbie Rodarte, her brothers, Dennis Skalman and Thomas Skalman and her son, Donald Wagner. Sandy is survived by her brothers, Wendell Pittenger and Jeff Skalman, her daughter, Laurie (Paul) Doty, her sons, Michael (Barb) Wagner and Stephen (Susan) Wagner, 12 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren. Sandy was loved by many. She will be missed most for her positive influence and love of life. As a source of encouragement to everyone around her, Sandy will always be remembered for the way she could make each person she encountered feel seen and cared for. |
