Prescott Journal Miner (Prescott, Arizona) Friday, September 20, 1918, p. 6 William A. Clark, a resident of Arizona since 1881, died at 8:45 last night at the Pioneers Home in this city, having been in poor health for the past month from the effects of a visitation of paralysis. He is survived by one daughter, Miss Florence Clark, a student at the local academy. Mr. Clark was born in Maine in 1840 and came to Tucson in 1881. He was prominently identified with the mining industry in the state for many years and was quite wealthy at one time. Fifteen or twenty years ago he became interested in the Fools Gulch property in the southern part of Yavapai county. He had a wide acquaintance and was well liked by all of his friends. The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock from the Catholic church, interment in Mountain View cemetery. [source: Google News Archive] |
