Charles Harvey Hill, 1st, 62, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on November 11, 1943 in Landsdale, Pennsylvania to Clifford and Edith (Fretz) Hill.

As a child, he attended the Cottonwood Elementary and as an adult, he worked in Happy Jack as a logger, mechanic, and truck driver for Transport Service Systems and Fretz and Sons.

Charles enjoyed fishing, camping and tinkering with cars and trucks.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene Hill; and his granddaughter, Carrie Hill.

He leaves behind his wife of 15 years, Barbara Hill, Cottonwood, Ariz.; sons, Charles Hill, II, Sioux Falls, and Travis Whisman, wife, Jennifer of Cottonwood, Ariz.; daughters, Cheryl Hill and Janet Hill, both of Sioux Falls, Stacy Morlock, Cottonwood, Ariz., and Erin Simmons, Rock Valley; brothers, Bill Hill, wife, Michelle and Dick Hill, wife, Joyce, all of Utah and Wayne Fretz; one sister, Shirley Marchbanks, husband, Odie all of Cottonwood, Az. and 12 grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., in Cottonwood, on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 10:00 a.m.
