| Bette Sommer Bantleon, formerly of Rochester, N.Y., moved to Sun City in 1995, most recently residing at Desert Winds Independent Living of Peoria. She passed away Dec. 7, 2008, just a short time prior to when she would have been celebrating her 89th birthday. A homemaker, she was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Bantleon, M.D. and her son, David F. Bantleon. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Lynn Yatros and husband, Nick, of Fountain Hills; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial was held at Messinger Fountain Hills Chapel on Friday, Dec. 12. Her family suggests contributions to Joy Christian Community Church, P.O. Box 17050, Fountain Hills, AZ 85269.
