Lillian Ann Hankosky (nee Cross) passed away June 11, 2009 in Payson. She was born Dec. 15, 1919 in Chicago, Ill. to Carl and Anna Cross.
She married Frank Hankosky on June 7, 1941 and together they had three children and a loving marriage.

Mrs. Hankosky retired from Jewel Food Stores in Illinois after being a bakery hostess for more than 20 years. She was a charter member of the United Methodist Church in Sun City West, and went on to become a very active member of the United Methodist Church of Lansing, Ill. She leaves behind a legacy of love and Christian faith which was apparent to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her loving, husband Frank Hankosky; parents, Carl and Anna Cross; brothers, Charles (Duetch), Robert (Bob), Walter (Wally), Gerald (Jerry) and Eugene (Genie); sisters, Marie (Arthur Carlson) and Arlene; daughters, Lenore (Kenneth Steinhart) and Judith (Ted Prince); son, David (Susan); and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Her family writes, “Lillian leaves behind a large and loving family, all of whom are in close contact and share in the love, laughter and tears of a large family. She will be sorely missed by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren upon whom she showered with love, laughter and the awareness of the beauty of God’s creation.”
