| Published by Today's News Herald from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1, 2023 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Mary J. Hoover entered Heaven just three months short of her 100th birthday. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Warren and Mary Donald. Her early years were not easy; growing up during the Depression and losing her father at a young age. In 1942, she married Jim Hoover and they had three children; Jim, Tom, and Joyce. Mary was working in mortgage lending when she retired. She and Jim moved to Lake Havasu City in 1993 to be closer to family. Mary had strong Christian beliefs and was a member of Community Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim in 2012 and is survived by sons Tom and Jim and daughter Joyce Riley, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
