Morris W. Bickett

Morris W Bickett (Morrie) passed away on Feb. 12, 2023 at the age of 94.
Born in the state of Washington, he moved to California as a child,
where he lived until 1989 when he and his wife, Shirley Bickett, moved
to Lake Havasu City.

In 1948, Morrie and Shirley met on a blind date in Boise, Idaho. After a
few dates, they married and the two boarded a bus for Southern
California. There, they lovingly raised four children. As an active
member of the BPOE Fullerton Lodge #1993, he worked his way through the
ranks of officers before becoming the exalted ruler in 1986 - 1987.

Morrie retired from Pacific Bell after 35 years of service, then
continued his career with Ford Aerospace.

He is preceded in death by his mother Gertrude Bickett, father Darrell
Bickett, two brothers Walter Smith and Darrell Bickett, one sister
Dorothy Bickett, wife Shirley Bickett and son-in-law Kenneth White.
Survivors include son Laurence Bickett (Debby), daughters Linda Eicher
(Arvel), Sue White, Moureen Becknel (Jay), his sister Verna Williams
along with nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces
and nephews. He is also survived by his special friend of many years,
Carol Schroeder.

Morrie loved his family and will be greatly missed by all. A celebration
of life will be held on April 8, 2023 from noon to 3 p.m.at the
Fullerton Elks Lodge.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory
to Hospice of Havasu.

Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
