Wilma Doud, of Wickenburg, passed away on May 16, 2021. She was born on
May 26, 1928, in Farmington, Iowa, to Lloyd and Mary Von Seggen. She
graduated from Farmington High School in 1946. On May 30, 1953, she
married Richard (Dick) Doud of Athens, Missouri.

Wilma attended Olivet Nazarene College in Bourbonnais, Illinois from
1946-47. Her career involved service at a number of companies as a
bookkeeper (City National Bank, Sunstrand Aviation, University of
Delaware), insurance claims officer (DuPont) and loan officer/notary
public (Broward County Teachers Credit Union).

Dick's career as an art historian took the couple to a number of locales
in Colorado, Delaware, Florida and Virginia. All along the way, Dick and
Wilma made lifelong friends with whom they kept in touch. Following
Dick's retirement from the Smithsonian Institution in 1988, they settled
in Wickenburg.

Wilma's interests included rock hunting, cooking, quilting, volunteering
and travel. During their retirement years, Dick and Wilma took numerous
trips and hosted friends and family to their home, always eager to help
their visitors experience the Arizona desert.

Wilma was a thoughtful, tender and kind individual. She will be truly
missed by friends and family.

She is survived by nieces/nephews and cousins.

There will not be a service at this time. A family-led graveside
memorial will be scheduled for her and Dick at their final resting site
at Athens Cemetery, Athens, Missouri, on a date to be determined.
Memorials may be left for Hospice of the Valley Fund Development, 1510
E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
