Evangeline C. (Kaminski) Dion

Evangeline C. Dion, known to many as "Von," passed away on April 5,
2023, at Lake View Terrace in Lake Havasu City, after a brief illness.
She was born on June 7, 1926, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Stanley
and Jadwiga Kaminski (Stone).

Evangeline graduated from high school in 1943 and went on to join the
Cadet Nurse Corps training program, following in her sister's footsteps.
She graduated in 1945 and worked as a surgical nurse until her marriage
to Arthur S. Dion of Manchester, New Hampshire.

Evangeline was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Jennifer,
Constance,and Alison. She returned to work as the school nurse for
Hershey Junior High School, where she is remembered fondly by many
students and faculty. She was an avid traveler and served as a chaperone
for the school's Easter trips abroad. After retirement, she continued to
learn and travel through elder hostel programs, visiting places such as
Poland, Alaska, and Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Evangeline had a passion for NCIS, with Abbey being her favorite
character, as well as Jeopardy, Antique Road Show, and classic movies.
She also enjoyed reading about history, medicine, and working on
puzzles.

Evangeline was predeceased by her husband, Arthur S. Dion, her sister,
Mary Frye, and her daughter, Jennifer A. Dion. She is survived by her
two daughters, Constance L. Wagner and Alison R. Dion CAPT (ret) PHS, as
well as her grandchildren, Stephan M. Wagner and Katherine Dion Ide, and
great-granddaughter, Rhea J. Wagner.

Evangeline will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
