Alma C. (McCall) Stanley

Born in New Concord, Ohio on Sept. 11, 1933.
Departed on Feb. 12, 2005 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Former Sedona resident Alma (McCall) Stanley died February 12, 2005. A long time resident of Sedona and native of New Concord, Ohio, Alma more recently resided in Cottonwood.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth (Wise) McCall of New Concord,Ohio and by her beloved husband, Gary D. Stanley, whom she married August 16, 1952. Also preceding her in death are her daughter-in-law Susan and granddaughter, Celeste.

Alma and Gary moved to Arizona in 1957, where Mr. Stanley became well known as a Master Mechanic and was involved in a variety of business interests throughout the area. Alma worked in the Sedona Post Office and later assisted in the family businesses. She also volunteered at the Sedona Thrift Shop for The Arizona Girls Ranch.

She is survived by her son, Milo M. Stanley, and grandson, Chad J. Brewer both of Ariz.; brothers, James McCall, New Concord, Oh. and William McCall, wife Jeanie, Cambridge, Oh.; sisters, Mabel Ratliffe, New Concord, Oh., Bonnie Sheville, husband Skip, East Liverpool, Oh. and Lois Hobart, husband Tom, Stone Creek, Oh.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 18 in Sedona Community Cemeterty at 11:30 a.m.
