Martha Marvell (Newton) Kirk

Born in Cleveland, Arkansas on Dec. 19, 1917.
Departed on Sept. 7, 2004 and resided in Camp Verde, Arizona.

Martha Marvell Kirk, 86, of Camp Verde died at home September 7, 2004. She was born December 19, 1917 in Cleveland, Arkansas and moved to Arizona in 1941.

Mrs. Kirk was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to garden, can, hunt, fish and be in the great outdoors. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Camp Verde

Her husband Hoyt Kirk, her son Charles Thomas Kirk, grandsons Johnny T. and Brenden Kirk, her brother Omar Newton and son-in-law Burnis Moore preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Louise Moore, Nelda Poleyquiva, husband Clayton, all of Camp Verde, her daughter-in-law Kathey Kirk, Page, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitiation was held Sept. 9 in the Westcott Funeral Home in Camp Verde. A funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 10 in the First Southern Baptist Church in Camp Verde at 10 a.m.

Burial will be in the Middle Verde Cemetery.
