Finsterwalder was born on Oct. 24, 1934 in Wiesbaden, Germany, the youngest of two daughters born to Martin and Barbara Homeier. After graduating from high school in her hometown, she went to business school and upon graduating, worked as a private secretary for the owner of a chemical factory until she married and immigrated to the United States in January 1956. She had one son, John R. Picot, who predeceased her in 2011. Ann married the love her life, Hans (Johann) Finsterwalder in 1974, and upon retirement they moved from Olney, Maryland to Lake Havasu City in 1989. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, and working out at the gym. She was a good friend to many, and worshipped God at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Ann was predeceased by her son, John R. Picot, her parents, her only sister, Lorie H. Aceto and is survived by her stepson, Robert Finsterwalder, stepdaughter Susanne Twenty and son-in-law Brandon Twenty, also three grandchildren. Services are scheduled for Sept. 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, final resting place will be at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. See Also: Find A Grave |
