| Published by Today's News Herald on Sep. 13, 2023 - Lake Havasu city, Arizona - Catherine Foster, 81, died Friday Aug. 18, 2023 at her home in Lake Havasu City with her family by her side. Catherine was born Oct. 8, 1941 in Edinburgh, Scotland to Donald and Lily Elizabeth Grant. Catherine was a Lake Havasu City resident for 26 years and worked for the News Herald for 23 of them. Catherine is survived by her children Julie, Stephen and John Foster; Granddaughters Christina Vazquez and Emma Foster; sister Liz and brother Alister Grant. Catherine was widely known as "Grandma," and was highly respected and loved by everyone she came in contact with. She was a strong and hard- working woman who gave with her whole heart. She was the master of poker, an avid reader, loved to do jigsaw puzzles, crosswords and lottery scratchers! She loved all creatures great and small. Catherine will be missed deeply. It was constant laughs when she was around, her witty humor would have you rolling for days. There will be no services, per Catherine's wishes.
