Published by Today's News Herald on Nov. 19, 2023 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - John Robert Pineau, known to his family and friends as "brother", passed away on Nov. 8, 2023, at the age of 75 in the comfort of his home located in Lake Havasu City. John was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on July 19, 1948, to his beloved mother, Dorothy Wells. He graduated from Revere High School and attended Greenfield Community College in Greenfield, Massachusetts. John served his country as a Private First Class in the Army and Army Reserve on June 3, 1968, and earned a National Defense Service Medal and an Armed Forced Expeditionary Medal. John worked for the Postal Service as a letter carrier in Somerville, Massachusetts until his retirement to Lake Havasu City. John enjoyed cars, shopping, and most importantly spending precious time with his family who meant everything to him. John was a lifetime member of the VFW, and the Disabled American Veterans, he also a member Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church in Lake Havasu City. John is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Wells. He is survived by his siblings: Joseph Pineau, Dorothy Toppin, Christine Ferragamo, Margaret Skurski, Patricia Eno, Donna Pineau, and Patricia Mattioli. The graveside service will take place on Nov. 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Havasu.
