Richard Alan Greenwood

Richard Alan Greenwood, known as Buzz by his close friends, passed away
April 11, 2024. He was born in Watts, California, on June 10, 1934, to
Jack and Betty Greenwood. Richard was a humble, loving, and loyal man
who carried these qualities into everything he did.

Richard was a talented machinist who spent his fruitful career with
North American Aviation since he was just 19 years old. He took pride in
his work, showcasing his loyalty and dedication. After retiring, Richard
moved to Lake Havasu City, where he lived for 30 years. He was an active
member of several clubs, including the Elks, Moose, American Legion,
Eagles, and the Elks Golf Club.

Richard was also an avid golfer, a hobby that he loved to share with his
group of buddies promptly at noon every day. His love for mechanics
extended beyond work, often fixing things for others and adjusting parts
for classic car owners. In his spare time, he enjoyed carving and even
built a gazebo and a large building where he did his machinery work.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Sharon Greenwood, whom he married
in Albuquerque on Oct. 19, 2004. Richard was a loving father to his
sons, Kyle and Mark Greenwood. He cherished the joys of being a
grandfather and a great-grandfather. He is preceded in death by his
parents, Jack and Betty Greenwood, and his daughter, Jill Greenwood. The
family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his close
friend who made numerous trips to bring Richard comfort during his final
days.

Visitation was held on April 25, 2024, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Lietz-
Fraze Funeral Home, with the graveside service following at 2 p.m. at
Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
