Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona) Friday, January 4, 1985 CONGRESS JUNCTION--Ewald Schmidt, 64, who had been a machinist for the Arizona Republic/The Phoenix Gazette five years, died Jan. 1, 1985, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Prescott. Mr. Schmidt, of Congress Junction, was born in Huron, Mich., and moved to Arizona 32 years ago from Butler, Ind. He served in the Navy in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Ella; daughters, Carole Horner, Janet Bradley, Margaret LaForrest, Ann Marie and Laura Jane; sons, Dennis and Michael; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Greer Chapel & Funeral Home, 5921 W. Thomas. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1500 W. Maryland. |
