Published by Today's News Herald on Jul. 7, 2024 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Danny Ray Carruth, known affectionately as "Dan," was born on September 11, 1952, in Orange, CA, USA. He peacefully passed away on June 1, 2024, in his long-time residence of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Danny was a man of many accomplishments. His career as a truck driver in the transportation industry was marked by dedication and hard work, most notably with ABF Freight. His commitment extended beyond his job as he was a proud, long-standing member of the Teamsters Union. Beyond his work, Danny was a licensed General Contractor and the former owner-operator of the Parker Door Company, demonstrating his diverse skills and entrepreneurial spirit. Despite these professional achievements, Danny's true delight was found in the simple joys of his hobbies and his love for the Lake Havasu community where he resided for 52 years. Danny is survived by his brother, Mike Carruth, and his sister, Linda Emrick. He was preceded in death by his father, Buster Carruth, his mother, Ruth Shaffer, and the love of his life, Linda Messner. Danny's life was one of service, hard work, and deep affection for his family and community. His legacy will continue to live on in the memories of all who knew him.
