Published by Today's News Herald from Jul. 27 to Jul. 28, 2024 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Peggy (Haglund) Anthony of Lake Havasu City, Arizona passed away peacefully on July 19th, 2024. The daughter of Guy and Marjorie (Long) Haglund, Peggy started her life in Gladstone, Michigan on December 11th, 1950. She attended school in Gladstone until the family moved to California in December of 1966. In her working years Peggy was a skilled craftswoman and excelled at beautifying homes, antique furniture, and businesses. Her love for Lola (her current furbaby) and the past dogs in her life made life very pleasant for them. She was a wonderful Dog mom. Peggy's loyal friends were a huge part of her life, always happy times for her when they were together. She was a huge supporter of Grace Arts live, upholstering lobby furniture and keeping the theatre clean and beautiful in the days when there was not a penny to pay anyone. Her work was a labor of love for her lifelong friends, Ed and Grace Ann Jacobs and family, Kathie Ivey, and Michael Chaffee. She and her husband, Rick, loved camping and boating at Lake Powell, hosting family and friend poker parties. Peggy and Rick loved to dance and visit local casinos. Peggy was the sweetest, kindest person. She was an excellent cook, baker, and friend to all she met. She will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death was her loving husband, Rick Anthony, her parents, Guy and Marjorie Haglund and her brother, Gary Kircher. Condolences to her niece, Debra Koski and family. Per Peggy's wishes, no services will be held. She and her husband, Rick's, final resting place will be with family in Gladstone, Michigan's Fernwood Cemetery. |
